Teachers day is celebrated around the world on different dates to show appreciation and gratitude to the teachers.In every students life importance of teachers plays a major role.As in India ,it is celebrated on 5th September every year to mark the birthday of the country's former President,scholar,philosopher and Bharat Ratan awardee,Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan,who was born on this day.

- He became the first Vice President of India in 1952 and was elected to the constituent assembly of India.Then,in 1962 he was appointed as the President of India.

- In 1954 ,he was awarded Bharat Ratna.

- He had received the Peace prize of the German Book Trade in 1961.

- In 1931, Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan became the Vice-Chancellor of Andhra university.

- Dr Radhakrishnan had done his Post Graduation in Philosophy subject.
